Overview
Daniel E. Cohen is an associate in the firm’s Litigation and Appellate Advocacy, Corporate & Business Law, and Artificial Intelligence practice groups. Daniel is an IAPP-Certified Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP), assisting clients with development and implementation of AI systems to achieve positive business results, and mitigate risk, in a growing area of law and policy.
Prior to joining Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C., Daniel served as a law clerk for Judge Mary F. Thurber and Judge David V. Nasta of the Bergen County Superior Court in New Jersey.
Daniel earned his J.D., cum laude, from Boston University Law School, and his B.S. from Cornell University.
During law school, Daniel served as a Legal Intern at Formlabs Inc. and served as a Student Clinician at BU/MIT Technology Law Clinic, serving cutting-edge entrepreneurs, students, and researchers in the areas of intellectual property & media, privacy, and security. He also served as Editor in Chief of the Journal of Science and Technology and received the Jeffrey R. Lowe Memorial Award.
In college, Daniel worked for the Walt Disney Company’s Labor Relations Department, negotiating collective bargaining agreements, handling union member grievances and disciplinary proceedings, and drafting agreements for worker pilot programs.
