The Firm

Pashman Stein has been hiring and cultivating exceptional legal talent since 1995. Our attorneys bring a wide range of backgrounds, expertise, and interests to the firm, both within and beyond the practice of law, allowing us to provide a full spectrum of legal services and fresh perspectives to our clients. Over the years, the firm has earned recognition as one of New Jersey’s most prestigious and well‑respected law firms among judges, attorneys, clients and adversaries alike as well as by the New Jersey Law Journal which named Pashman Stein its 2023 Law Firm of the Year.

The Culture

At Pashman Stein, you’re not just joining a firm - you’re joining a community. Collegiality and balance are more than ideals - they are part of our daily practice. While many firms speak about work-life balance, our attorneys actively promote and live it.

We foster an environment that supports professional growth, collaboration, and meaningful relationships across the firm while respecting the importance of time spent with family and friends. We believe this balance enables our attorneys to perform at their best, maintain their passion for the law and deliver exceptional service to our clients. Our attorneys participate in committees such as the Women’s Committee, the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee and the Wellness Committee and host firmwide initiatives such as multicultural lunches, meditation sessions, annual hikes and book clubs.

Your Career

Many of our associates join us after clerking for one or more years for state or federal judges, serving in the Attorney General's office, or training at larger law firms. While strong academic performance is an important factor in our hiring decisions, we also value each candidate’s background, experience, and the unique perspective they bring to our practice. Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee is dedicated to implementing initiatives that enhance the recruitment, development and retention of diverse talent across the firm.

Benefits

As a Pashman Stein attorney, you will work in a professional environment designed to support you at every stage of your career. The pandemic has highlighted that our attorneys can continue to provide clients with excellent service whether working in or out of the office and we, therefore, offer flexible working arrangements for all our attorneys.

We offer our attorneys and staff an array of benefits and compensation.

We are exceptionally proud of our newest benefit, our sabbatical program. We believe long‑term careers are built on sustainability. Eligible attorneys and staff may participate in our sabbatical program, which is designed to support professional growth, recharge, and long‑term engagement with the firm.
