Angela E. Juneau

Angela E. Juneau is an associate in the firm’s Litigation practice group where she focuses her practice on complex business litigation and appellate matters.  With more than a decade of federal and state government experience, including as an Assistant United States Attorney in the District of New Jersey, a Deputy Attorney General in the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, and an Assistant Counsel to the Governor of New Jersey, Angela brings a rare blend of insight and expertise to both federal and state court matters. Angela is also a member of the firm's AI Practice Group where, as a certified AI Governance Professional (AIGP), she advises clients on algorithmic accountability, the legal and regulatory landscape, and the governance frameworks shaping how businesses deploy AI responsibly.

Immediately before joining Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C., Angela served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Civil Division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey for almost five years. During her tenure at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, she represented the federal government in a wide variety of matters such as providing pre-litigation counseling to federal agencies, litigating civil matters in District Court, negotiating settlements, and successfully briefing and arguing matters before the Third Circuit.  She was a recipient of the 2023 Award for Superior Performance as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, Civil.

Angela previously served as a Deputy Attorney General at the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General for three years, defending the State of New Jersey in challenges to agency decisions in the Office of Administrative Law, Law Division, Appellate Division, and District Court, as well as counseling New Jersey’s Departments of Health and Human Services and Department of Environmental Protection.

As Assistant Counsel to Governor Phil Murphy, Angela advised the Governor on potential appointees to the judiciary, agencies, boards, commissions, and authorities.

Angela also served as a law clerk for three separate judges:  the Hon. Lois H. Goodman in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey; the Hon. Allison E. Accurso in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division; and the Hon. Kevin T. Smith in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division.

Angela earned her J.D. from Rutgers Law School, where she served as Lead Notes & Case Notes Editor for the Rutgers Law Journal.  She received her M.A. from The City College of New York and her B.A. from Belmont Abbey College.
