Amanda J. Massey Appointed to Monmouth Bar Association’s Family Law Committee
We are proud to announce that Amanda J. Massey, counsel in the firm's Family Law practice, has been appointed to the Monmouth Bar Association’s Family Law Committee for a three-year term. Amanda’s appointment coincides with Jhanice V. Domingo’s selection to serve on Monmouth Bar Association’s Diversity Committee, which you can read about here.
Amanda’s commitment to the family law practice area extends beyond her private practice. She serves as an Adjunct Professor teaching family law in Brookdale Community College's Paralegal/Legal Studies Program, where she also sits on the Legal Studies Advisory Committee, working to bridge the gap between the practicing bar and paralegal studies students. Her dedication to family law and student success was recognized in 2025 when she received the Adjunct Professor of the Year award.
With well over a decade of family law litigation experience, Amanda provides comprehensive support from inception through litigation and settlement. She assists clients in planning prenuptial agreements, offers guidance to spouses navigating complex circumstances of their divorce, resolves co-parenting issues, and addresses post-judgment conflicts.
Amanda’s experience has also led to court appointments in non-family law matters, including serving as a Guardian Ad Litem in Probate Part estate matters involving minor children or alleged incapacitated individuals, and as a Court-Appointed Attorney in guardianship proceedings involving children and incapacitated individuals.
Her clients come from diverse economic situations, occupational backgrounds, and sexual orientations, and her practice ranges from complex, high-conflict disputes to amicable uncontested settlements. She treats every case with care, providing diligent and compassionate advocacy tailored to each client's individual needs. Drawing on extensive experience in domestic violence cases, Amanda sensitively navigates these matters through trial proceedings, settlement negotiations, and restraining order issues.
In 2025, Amanda was admitted to the New Jersey Judiciary Roster of Statewide Approved Parenting Coordinators after completing over 40 hours of training. In this role, she acts as a neutral third party assisting high-conflict parents resolving their day-to-day parenting issues as well as addressing larger areas of conflict. As a trained mediator, she works to assist parties create an amicable resolution of their own making. Amanda also volunteers her time as an Early Settlement Panelist for Monmouth and Bergen County.
