Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C. Client 615 River Road Partners Reaches Settlement with Edgewater Borough

News

Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C. is pleased to announce that its client 615 River Road Partners, LLC (“615 RRP”) reached a settlement in the development of its waterfront property with Edgewater Borough, ending years of litigation.

Pashman Stein attorneys Justin Walder, Joe Hayden, David N. Cinotti, and Roger Plawker represented 615 RRP in its federal civil-rights claims against Edgewater in connection with its efforts to build high-rise residential buildings, along with other ancillary uses of the property, along the Hudson River.

Under the settlement agreement, 615 RRP will deed to Edgewater the portion of the property located to the west of River Road for the construction of a new school. Edgewater has long had a need for more school space. In addition, 615 RRP will create a super bus stop to help alleviate traffic issues on River Road. The settlement terms allow 615 RRP to develop 1,200 units on the east side of River Road, which includes a substantial number of affordable-housing units. The development will have a compelling landscape view to the Hudson River and the New York City skyline, improved transportation including a new ferry stop, and a new public riverfront park.

Our firm is proud of the results it has achieved for clients, some of which are noted here.  Of course, each legal matter is unique on many levels, and past successes are not a guarantee of results in any other pending or future matters.
