Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C. Welcomes Criminal Defense Associate Chelsea J. Nkrumah

Hackensack, NJ (September 30, 2025) - Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C. is pleased to announce that Chelsea J. Nkrumah has joined as an associate in the firm’s Criminal Defense and Litigation practice groups.

Prior to joining Pashman Stein, Nkrumah practiced as a judicial law clerk for The Honorable J. Brendan Day of the United States District Court, District of New Jersey and for The Honorable Maritza Berdote Byrne, in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division.  She was also a legal fellow for the Michael J. Sullivan Defender Program at Rutgers Law School and Panasonic Corporation of North America. Prior to that, she was a legal intern at the United States Attorney’s Office, Criminal Division and at the Office of the Attorney General, Division of Criminal Justice.

“Chelsea is a bright, young talent and we welcome her to our firm,” said Aidan P. O’Connor, co-chair of the firm’s Criminal Defense and Governmental & Internal Investigations practices. "With her recent experience as a judicial law clerk, Chelsea will be an asset to our trial and appellate matters."

Nkrumah earned her J.D. from Rutgers Law School, where she was a member of the National Mock Trial Competition Team. She also was a 3L Career Advisor, vice president of Academic Affairs for the Association of Black Law Students and co-chair of the Women’s Law Forum. She received her B.A. from Texas A&M University-Kingsville.
