Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C.’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors’ Rights Practice, Together with Four of its Lawyers, Ranked by Chambers and Partners in its 2025 USA Guide
Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C. is proud to announce that its Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors’ Rights practice and 4 lawyers in the practice group have been ranked by Chambers and Partners in its 2025 USA Guide. The practice group is ranked in Delaware in Band 4, and the four ranked lawyers are:
- John W. Weiss – Band 4, New Jersey
- Joseph C. Barsalona II – Up and Coming, Delaware
- Henry J. Jaffe – Band 3, Delaware
- David B. Stratton – Senior Statesperson, Delaware
Pashman Stein’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors’ Rights practice was founded in March 2022, when John W. Weiss left his partnership at an Am Law 100 firm to build a practice at Pashman Stein from the ground up. Within months, partner Joseph C. Barsalona II was hired, and the firm’s Delaware office was established. The practice continues to expand, with partner Henry J. Jaffe and associate Katherine Beilin joining the group in 2023; partner Leah M. Eisenberg, of counsel David B. Stratton, counsel David E. Sklar, and associates Amy M. Oden, Alexis R. Gambale, and Dwij Patel joining in 2024; and counsels Michael J. Custer and Richard W. Riley joining in 2025. The practice now consists of 12 full-time bankruptcy attorneys, in addition to litigators with specialized experience in bankruptcy litigation.
“We are thrilled that the practice group has been ranked by Chambers, which is a testament to the outstanding skill of the group’s attorneys and the leadership of chair John Weiss,” said Michael S. Stein, chair and managing partner of Pashman Stein. “The first-time rankings for John Weiss and Joe Barsalona are well deserved, as they have earned a reputation for excellence throughout the region. Moreover, we appreciate the ongoing contributions of Chambers-ranked lawyers Henry Jaffe and David Stratton, as well as the rest of the team, in elevating the quality and level of service our clients expect.”
John W. Weiss, chair of the firm’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors’ Rights practice group added, “For the department to be recognized by Chambers is especially gratifying, as I left my AmLaw firm with the concept that at Pashman Stein we could provide the same high-quality legal work at a more cost-effective rate structure. Our department being ranked by Chambers in just over 3 years is a proof-of-concept moment and one that we could not have achieved without the excellence and dedication of our entire team. I am extremely proud of all that we have accomplished in such a short period of time, and excited for all that the future holds for our group.”
