Joe Hayden a member of Pashman Stein Walder Hayden’s Criminal Defense and Governmental and Internal Investigations Group was quoted in the NJ.com article, “Could Caren Turner be fined or jailed for her infamous traffic stop video?” The article examines the ex-Port Authority commissioner Caren Turner that found herself the target of widespread derision and outrage, after a video of a traffic stop during which she berated Tenafly police officers surfaced.

Part of the problem, agreed Joseph A. Hayden, a former deputy attorney general of special prosecutions, is that such a charge carries a five-year-minimum prison sentence.

"Her language and conduct was downright awful," said Hayden. "But it would be draconian to consider prosecuting that as a criminal case ... like using a shotgun to kill a fly."
