Jhanice V. Domingo Named a Finalist for the Mentor Award by the New Jersey Law Journal as Part of its 2025 New Jersey Legal Awards
Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C. is proud to announce that Jhanice V. Domingo, chair of the firm’s Family Law practice, has been named a finalist for the Mentor award by the New Jersey Law Journal as part of its 2025 New Jersey Legal Awards. According to the New Jersey Law Journal, the Mentor award celebrates attorneys who excel at teaching others - taking those around them to the next level, whether through formal mentorship programs or simply serving as good leaders and guides.
“Over the course of her legal career, Jhanice has built a reputation not just for excellence in advocacy, but for her extraordinary commitment to helping others rise,” remarked Michael S. Stein, firm chair and managing partner. “As chair of our firm’s Family Law practice, Jhanice leads with purpose and generosity, mentoring attorneys and helping them to find, develop and strengthen their professional voice.”
With more than two decades of experience, Domingo is a respected and accomplished family law attorney whose statewide practice includes high-conflict matrimonial matters, complex financial litigation, and alternative dispute resolution. Her clients include physicians, attorneys, business executives, and entrepreneurs – as well as their spouses – navigating the full spectrum of family law issues. A former Assistant Prosecutor in Somerset County, Domingo also brings extensive courtroom experience to her private practice.
Domingo is a trained and court-approved family law mediator and serves as both an Early Settlement Panelist and Economic Mediator in multiple New Jersey counties. She is an active member of the New Jersey State Bar Association Family Law Executive Committee, the New Jersey Supreme Court Family Practice Committee, and several subcommittees focused on non-dissolution matters and domestic violence.
Domingo also serves on the Judicial and Prosecutorial Appointments Committee (JPAC) of the New Jersey State Bar Association, where she participates in confidential evaluations of judicial and prosecutorial candidates and advises the Governor on nominations.
She serves as co-chair of the Family Law Committee of the Bergen County Bar Association (BCBA) — a position she has held for four consecutive years — as well as a Trustee of the BCBA. She is a former co-chair of its Diversity Committee.
A strong advocate for diversity in the legal profession, Domingo is a past president of both the National Filipino American Lawyers Association and the Asian Pacific American Lawyers Association of New Jersey (APALA-NJ). She chaired APALA-NJ’s JPAC for over a decade, working closely with state leadership to support the appointment of qualified minority candidates to the judiciary. She also serves on the Board of Trustees of Legal Services of New Jersey.
