Program: Understanding and Managing Traumatized Clients
July 24, 2019- 5:00 – 7:30 P.M. at the Hackensack Golf Club
Description: Acquire knowledge about mood and personality disorders and the impact of trauma, symptoms and treatment options, and the impact of complex stress disorders (PTSD, post traumatic and ASD, acute stress) and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Overview of mood and personality disorders, and the impact upon victim, defendant, witness, litigant, parent, child, lawyer, judge, and mental health experts. The program will focus on personality disorders and high conflict multi-docket family cases (such as a FM/FD with a FV and/or FN) highlighting visible symptoms, treatment resources, with practical tips and strategies for managing stress and client responses, with respect to the presenting legal case.
