The Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors’ Rights practice at Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C. is proud to announce that client Smallhold Inc., a Certified B-Corp, announced completion of its restructuring process and exit from subchapter V of Chapter 11.  Smallhold Inc., a national leader in organic specialty mushrooms, underwent a six-month reorganization process, where the company has been run by a small, dedicated group of the existing leadership team, complemented by interim support and advisors.

The Pashman team, led by Joe Barsalona, Henry Jaffe, Amy Oden and Alexis Gambale, acted as counsel to the debtor and successfully navigated the company through bankruptcy, achieving confirmation of the debtor’s reorganization plan on August 22, and emerging from bankruptcy on September 6.  The confirmed plan, among other things, removes all secured debt from Smallhold’s balance sheet and provides a recovery to general unsecured creditors.  This is the sixth confirmed plan achieved by Pashman for their clients within the past two years.

"Smallhold is emerging stronger and more resilient than ever. The team has worked tirelessly to preserve the company's brand and values," said Shawn Bray, Smallhold Director of HR and People. "Smallhold has a bright future ahead.”
