Justin Walder Receives Medal of Honor for Exemplary Contributions to Justice System

On September 17, the New Jersey State Bar Foundation hosted the 2018 Medal of Honor Awards Dinner at The Palace at Somerset Park. More than 300 guests paid tribute to the recipients of the Foundation’s highest and most prestigious award, the Honorable Linda R. Feinberg, AJSC (Ret.) and Justin P. Walder, Esq.

In addiition, attendees celebrated the great work of the Foundation and it 60thAnniversary. A slideshow of past Medal of Honor recipients flashed on screens throughout the event and 20 past recipients in attendance were honored with commemorative medals.

Judge Feinberg dedicated her award to her parents who she said instilled in their children “to treat every person with respect and kindness.” Judge Feinberg was particularly close to her father who always said, “Anything worth doing is worth doing well.” She has lived her life by that mantra.

In accepting his award, Mr. Walder said, “The tribute by the New Jersey State Bar Foundation is truly meaningful because of its mission over the last 60 years.” Mr. Walder spoke about the importance of civility in the law, which he contended “can’t be over emphasized.”

“Every case is not World War III,” Mr. Walder said. “Our work is based on integrity and professionalism.
