Joseph Hayden Participates in Criminal Practice Workshop in Beijing, China

For the second year in a row, Joseph Hayden was a guest of the Paul Tsai China Center of Yale Law School and participated in programs in Beijing China run by the Yale Law Center involving discussions about the similarities and differences in American laws and Chinese laws concerning criminal procedures.

The agenda included the following activities:

November 24:
-Participation in criminal procedure about please bargaining at the King & Capital law firm in Beijing which included various experts and law professionals from China.
-Meet and greet with experts at the Peking Law School.

November 25:
-Participation in an all-day program at the National Prosecutors College concerning the American and Chinese systems respecting please bargaining.

November 26:
-Participation in a program at the China University of Political Science and Law on the same subject matter. The program was attended by distinguished Chinese law professors.

November 27:
-Participation in a program at the Ren Min University Law School on the American system of plea bargaining. The Program was attended by a Judge of the People’s Supreme Court of China.
