Attorney Joseph A. Hayden, Jr. interviewed on The Bold Sidebar Podcast with Attorney Jeff Horn. In this podcast, which dives into Joe’s 50-year career as an attorney, Joe shares his insights and advice and discusses some of the key experiences and cases that helped shape his career.

“Looking back, I would say there are two dominant themes that really emerged in my career,” explained Joe. “The first one was that I worked very hard. I came from a school that preparation is everything and I used to say that there may be better lawyers, but nobody will ever outwork me. The second thing is that I really believe I was incredibly lucky. Lucky in the sense that I was in the right place at the right time and some good cases came along and it took nerve to take the shot when I was a very young lawyer, but you are only as good as the cases that came your way….It is a privilege to be a lawyer, it truly is.

“You can be involved in social change, you can be involved in helping people, you can make a nice living, but it is something that you have to earn and something you have to fight to keep…with this privilege comes the responsibility to exercise it in a meaningful way and to appreciate it.”
