Jaffe, partner in the firm’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors’ Rights practice group, has been ranked by Chambers and Partners in its 2025 USA Guide in Delaware.  This ranking marks 10 years that Jaffe has been ranked by Chambers and Partners.

“We are thrilled that Henry has yet again received this well-deserved recognition,” said John W. Weiss, chair of the firm’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors’ Rights practice. “With more than 30 years of experience practicing at AmLaw firms in Delaware, Henry is a tremendous asset to Pashman Stein’s bankruptcy team.  He has earned a reputation in the industry for high-caliber representation and strategic solutions, including helping numerous creditors in a broad array of industries both improve their recoveries in bankruptcy cases, and either eliminate or greatly reduce their risks.”

Jaffe’s clients include debtors, trustees, and creditors’ committees; secured, unsecured, and administrative claimants; and receivers in federal and state receivership actions. He has defended and prosecuted hundreds of avoidance actions in various jurisdictions throughout the U.S. (including extremely complex cases where the amounts in controversy exceeded $100 million) and has assisted creditors with the assumption and renegotiation of complex executory contracts and leases.  Jaffe has represented heavy-duty equipment dealers, consumer goods manufacturers, internet resellers and landlords in bankruptcy matters and has also helped numerous clients (including owners, home builders, contractors, and suppliers) in the construction industry with insolvency and bankruptcy issues.

At Pashman Stein, Jaffe has represented (among other stakeholders) debtors, trustees and purchasers of assets, in various high-stakes contested matters, including serving as first-chair litigation counsel in connection with contested confirmation hearings and debtor-in-possession financing motions.  Jaffe’s clients and colleagues regularly turn to him to handle their most sensitive, difficult and complex matters.

Jaffe is a frequent writer and lecturer on various bankruptcy subjects. He has regularly authored or co-authored an article covering recent case developments under Section 547 of the Bankruptcy Code (preferences) for Norton’s Annual Survey of Bankruptcy Law. He has also published feature articles in Law360 and authored the chapter on Delaware state court receiverships in the treatise Strategic Alternatives For and Against Distressed Businesses.

Jaffe has lectured on bankruptcy topics and written materials for the American Conference of Bankruptcy Judges’ annual meeting, the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Construction Law Subcommittee, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, and the Knowledge Group.
