Dominique Kilmartin Recognized by the New Jersey Law Journal as one of the "Unsung Heroes" in the 2026 New Jersey Legal Awards
Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C. is proud to announce that Dominique Kilmartin, counsel in the firm's Litigation practice, was recognized by the New Jersey Law Journal as one of the "Unsung Heroes" in the 2026 New Jersey Legal Awards. According to the New Jersey Law Journal, the "Unsung Hero" award celebrates attorneys who may work long hours behind the scenes but are indispensable to the efforts of the firm.
“Dominique possesses the kind of legal judgment and strategic thinking that lawyers typically develop much later in their careers,” said Brendan M. Walsh, co-chair of the firm’s Litigation practice group. “Time and again, she has identified critical issues, strengthened our clients’ positions, and made significant contributions to many of our most complex matters. The Unsung Hero Award recognizes professionals whose impact often extends beyond public recognition, and Dominique is highly deserving of this honor.”
Kilmartin focuses on complex litigation and appellate matters. She represents clients in complex commercial disputes and appeals in state and federal courts in New Jersey and New York and provides local counsel on high-stakes litigation matters in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Her experience includes corporate governance and fiduciary litigation, shareholder and member disputes, employment litigation and arbitration matters, complex probate matters, and criminal defense.
Kilmartin has demonstrated a strong commitment to providing pro bono legal services. Since joining Pashman Stein, she has written briefs to the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States Supreme Court on behalf of amici curiae on constitutional and other issues of significant public importance. She has been recognized by the New Jersey State Bar Association's Board of Trustees for her work on a United States Supreme Court brief filed on the association's behalf and has also briefed and argued criminal appeals before the New Jersey Supreme Court on behalf of the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey.
Kilmartin joined Pashman Stein in 2023, following a two-year clerkship with the Honorable Katharine S. Hayden of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Prior to her clerkship with Judge Hayden, she worked at an Am Law 50 firm in New York City and served as a law clerk to the Honorable Lee A. Solomon, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of New Jersey.
