Valerie Jules McCarthy, counsel in the Family Law practice group at Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C., serves on the Host Committee and as Programming Co-Chair for the National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL) Annual Meeting, taking place in Chicago, IL, on July 23–24, 2025. This year’s theme, “Rising Together: Strength Through Unity,” reflects an empowering gathering of legal professionals committed to advancing women in the legal field through connection, perspective, and purpose-driven dialogue.

Valerie has been an active NAWL member since 2020 and is a member of NAWL’s Litigation Affinity Group. She served on the Host Committee for the 2021 Mid-Year Meeting, contributed as a member of the Marketing Committee, and coordinated and moderated the session "Finding Purpose in Your Career." In 2022, she returned to the Host Committee and served on the Sponsorship Committee, with Pashman Stein supporting the event as a Friend-level sponsor.

This year, Valerie continues her leadership as Co-Chair of the Programming Committee for the Annual Meeting. She is also one of the session coordinators for the opening session, a screening and talkback of the Zurawski v. Texas documentary, scheduled for July 23rd, 2025.
