The Hon. Justice Gary S. Stein (Ret.) to Receive Public Interest Excellence Award from PILSA at Rutgers Law School

Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C is pleased to announce that the Honorable Justice Gary S. Stein (Ret.), special counsel at the firm, will be receiving the Public Interest Excellence Award from the Public Interest Law Student Association (PILSA) at Rutgers School of Law in Newark, New Jersey. Justice Stein will be presented with the award at the 40th Annual PILSA Auction.  In addition, Hannah Pennington, an attorney at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and former law clerk for Justice Stein when he served on the New Jersey Supreme Court, will be receiving the Friend of the PILSA award. The two honorees are being honored for dedicating their time and energy to supporting public interest in Newark and beyond.

The Annual PILSA Auction is a cherished tradition dedicated to supporting Rutgers Law students pursuing unpaid public interest law opportunities over the summer. The evening will be filled with camaraderie, spirited bidding, and a celebration of the enduring commitment to public interest law within the community.
