Seth A. Goldberg, partner in the Commercial Litigation practice and co-chair of the Cannabis & Hemp Law practice, at Pashman Stein Walder Hayden, was featured in The Legal Intelligencer article titled, “NJ Firm Lands Duane Morris Partner for New Philadelphia Office.”

The article discusses the firm’s decision to open an office in Philadelphia as of March 1, 2025, “completing the firm’s presence along the Northeast Corridor and opening up new client opportunities,” and the hiring of former Duane Morris partner Seth Goldberg to lead the new office. With the opening of the Philadelphia office, Pashman Stein will have 5 offices in 4 states: New Jersey, New York, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.

Emerging from a strong 2024 bolstered by litigation and bankruptcy demand, the firm has been familiar with Goldberg and Duane Morris since the two firms worked together on a lengthy trial in Mercer County, New Jersey, and [firm chair and managing partner Michael] Stein jumped on the opportunity to recruit the attorney.

“We view it as a really good opportunity not to just bolster our litigation bench but in particular to add corporate and real estate talent,” Stein said. “That might be a place where we can really break into down in Philadelphia, just based on the calls we’re getting and the relationships that we have and that Seth has.”

Quoting Goldberg, the article continued:

Goldberg also emphasized the importance of recruiting as the new office begins operations, noting that he would be on the lookout for “strong litigators” and attorneys handling real estate and transactional work.

“The nice thing about Pashman is the quality of lawyering is at the very high end and the firm has had a tremendous amount of success over the past handful of years in growth,” [Seth Goldberg] said. “It’s going to be an attractive firm for lawyers in Philadelphia that are looking to do something and are looking to help build something.”
