Seth Goldberg Comments on Potential Impact of Hemp-THC Restrictions in MJBizDaily
Seth Goldberg, partner and co-chair of the Cannabis & Hemp Law practice at Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C., was quoted in an MJBizDaily article titled, “Hemp THC ‘Prohibition’ Looms as U.S. Senate Closes 2018 Farm Bill ‘Loophole’.” The article discusses how the U.S. Senate has approved legislation redefining “hemp” that would restrict certain THC products currently sold under the 2018 Farm Bill.
Goldberg cautioned that hemp-related businesses should begin evaluating how the proposed changes may affect their operations, stating, “[They] should prepare for the real possibility that their products will lose the safe harbor under the current 2018 Farm Bill.”
“It would be prudent for hemp-related companies to begin thinking through how such changes will impact various aspects of their business.” Golberg advised.
