Seth A. Goldberg Quoted in Restaurant Business, Discusses Future of THC Beverages in Restaurant Industry
Seth A. Goldberg, partner in the firm’s Litigation practice and co-chair of the Cannabis & Hemp Law practice, was recently quoted in an article in Restaurant Business titled, “THC Beverages Face an Uncertain Future in the Restaurant Industry.” The article discusses how the growing THC beverage industry may face challenges as constantly changing and conflicting federal and state regulations make it difficult for restaurants to confidently offer the products.
Speaking with Restaurant Business, Goldberg said:
“State legal cannabis is federally unlawful … and that could be the same outcome with respect to state hemp THC products: federally unlawful, state legal, and being sold because there’s no federal enforcement. Federal policy with respect to state legal cannabis has been hands-off for years. Provided states are regulating THC in hemp, the policy may not differ.”
