Sean Mack, co-chair of the Litigation practice at Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C., was featured on NBC News 4 I-Team segment on July 11, 2025, with Sarah Wallace.  Mack represents 40 people who invested in various real estate ventures promoted by Cesar and Jennifer Pina and others.  The Pinas are accused of misusing investor funds for personal expenses and operating a Ponzi-like scheme, and Cesar has recently been indicted for money laundering, bribery, and wire fraud.

Mack is also proceeding with claims in bankruptcy court on behalf of the investors against Cesar and various affiliated companies. The bankruptcy court appointed a trustee over the Pina-controlled entities and the trustee is in the process of marshalling and liquidating assets for the benefit of creditors.
