After being named by the New Jersey Law Journal as a finalist for Litigation Department of the Year - General in 2024, Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C.’s Litigation practice was featured in the New Jersey Law Journal. The article includes a Q&A with Michael S. Stein, firm chair and managing partner.

In response to the questions as to how the firm handles pressure from clients regarding rates and from the competitive job market, Stein noted:

Our firm was built on the premise that we can provide value to our clients by providing the same sophisticated representation of large, international law firms in a more cost-effective rate structure. We also provide alternative fee arrangements, such as blended rates, to meet our clients’ needs. Clients appreciate our flexible rate structure, which also has served as a recruitment tool for lawyers coming from AmLaw firms.

While we recognize there is increasing competition for talent, we are fortunate to have been primarily immune to that pressure.  Our recent hires cite the firm’s unique culture, the intellectually stimulating work, a rate structure that compares favorably to the rates charged by big law, and the opportunity of “doing good while doing well,” in explaining their decisions to join our team.
