After being named by the New Jersey Law Journal as a finalist for Law Firm of the Year in 2025, Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C. was featured in the New Jersey Law Journal. The article includes a Q&A with Michael S. Stein, firm chair and managing partner.

In response to the question about opportunities available to law firms in the current climate, Stein noted:

Law firms are uniquely positioned in the current climate to stand up for the rule of law and to defend the independence of the legal profession. One of the foundational principles of the legal profession is the freedom for lawyers to take on clients and causes without fear of retribution and regardless of whether their clients' views are unpopular or at odds with whatever political party happens to be in power. Law firms have the opportunity to preserve the integrity of the legal profession and judicial system by taking on matters of direct representation or supporting legal arguments through amicus briefs, as Pashman Stein proudly did by signing each of the amicus briefs in connection with the Executive Orders regarding Perkins Coie, Jenner & Block, and WilmerHale.  Through the Justice Gary S. Stein Public Interest Center at Pashman Stein, our firm is committed to public interest impact litigation and appellate advocacy that, among other things, defends democracy, the rule of law, and constitutional rights.

This is the third year in a row in which Pashman Stein was named a finalist by the New Jersey Law Journal for Law Firm of the Year, having been named the Law Firm of the Year winner in 2023. The winner of the 2025 Law Firm of the Year will be announced on October 30, 2025.

Pashman Stein is a full-service law firm of over 85 attorneys with a reputation for professional excellence. Headquartered in Hackensack, New Jersey, the firm has offices throughout the region in Holmdel, New Jersey; New York, New York; Wilmington, Delaware; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
