Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C. Names Dawn Attwood Co-Chair of Insurance Law

Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C. is pleased to announce that Dawn Attwood has been named Co-Chair of the firm’s Insurance Law practice, effective January 1, 2023. She joins partner Dennis Smith in leading the department.

“Upon joining our firm, Dawn quickly emerged as a leader and she has steadily built a robust Insurance Defense practice,” said Managing Partner Michael S. Stein. “Dawn’s significant experience in insurance and public entity defense is an asset to all of the firm’s clients, and her commitment to client service serves as a model to us all.”

Attwood’s complex civil litigation practice focuses on insurance defense and public entity defense, as well as employment and commercial litigation on behalf of both public and private sector clients. She has extensive experience at the trial and appellate levels representing private commercial insureds, the State of New Jersey, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, New Jersey Transit, a number of county prosecutor’s offices, boards of education, and municipalities. Attwood began her career in the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, where she spent 5 years defending the State in tort, contractual, employment litigation, and other matters.  In 2021, Attwood was named one of the “Mentors of the Year” by the New Jersey Law Journal.

Pashman Stein Walder Hayden provides legal representation to insureds in all types of litigation, including negligence, construction, products liability, toxic tort, environmental, professional malpractice, civil rights, dram shop, hospitality, employment, and coverage cases in state and federal courts throughout New Jersey and New York. The department also assists large corporate policyholders, as well as midsize and smaller companies, and their officers and directors in connection with insurance claims and issues as well as insurance-related strategic concerns.
