PSWH is proud to announce that it has collected nearly 3,000 food items and over $300.00 in a month-long internal summer food drive to benefit Bergen County’s Center for Food Action. The Center for Food Action (“CFA”) was founded in 1976 and is a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) organization that provides emergency services to northern New Jersey’s most vulnerable and most vulnerable residents. CFA provides food, housing, utility and heating assistance and offers counseling and advocacy services to low-income individuals and families. CFA is headquartered in Englewood and has sites in Fairview, Hackensack, Mahwah, Ridgefield, Ringwood, and Saddle Brook. For more information on CFA, visit www.cfanj.org.

The food drive was organized by PSWH’s Community Outreach Committee, a group comprised of staff and attorneys that aims to assist non-profit organizations and civic causes in the area.  “We are so proud of the efforts of the PSWH team in organizing and donating food and funds to CFA at a time when it is most needed. Our firm encourages our employees to be involved in the community. This is just one aspect of the Community Outreach Committee’s ongoing work,” said Scott R. Lippert, Partner of the firm and member of the Community Outreach Committee.

In addition to this most recent food drive, the Committee has engaged members of the firm in various charitable efforts such as the holiday food drive benefiting CFA, the holiday toy drive with the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program, annual sponsorship of the Go the Distance for Autism Ride Charity Cycling Event benefiting Alpine Learning Group, the EPIC School, Garden Academy and REED Academy, a pet supply drive benefiting Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc., a non-profit no-kill shelter in Bergen County, and running at the 2016 Riker Danzig Newport 10K, among others. “I couldn’t be prouder of the Committee and the support of all the PSWH employees. This is what our firm is all about and I am thrilled by everyone’s involvement,” said Michael S. Stein, Managing Partner.
