1.23.19

Pashman Stein Walder Hayden is pleased to announce that Naomi Becker Collier and David N. Cinotti have been elected partners of the firm, effective January 23, 2019.

“I am delighted to recognize the contributions of both Naomi and David, who along with their astute legal acumen also provide outstanding client service in their respective practices,” said Michael S. Stein, Managing Partner. “Naomi has built a rapidly expanding Elder Law and Special Needs Planning practice within the Trusts and Estates group, while David has a strong Commercial Litigation and Arbitration practice and continues to raise the bar of our Litigation group.”

Naomi Becker Collier joined the firm in 2016, and her practice is concentrated in the area of trust and estates with an emphasis on addressing the specific needs of aging individuals, people with disabilities, and their families. Collier’s elder and disability law practice focuses on estate and lifetime planning, elder law counseling, asset preservation planning, special needs planning, planning for incapacity, trust and estate administration, Medicaid planning and applications, and guardianships. Her trust and estate practice includes the utilization of tax minimization strategies, drafting and reviewing complex wills, revocable trusts, GRATs, QPRTs, insurance trusts, dynastic trusts, powers of attorney and health care directives.

Prior to joining Pashman Stein, Collier developed her practice in boutique law firms; first, specializing in elder law, and subsequently, estate and tax planning for high net worth individuals. Collier earned her J.D. from North Carolina Central University School of Law and her B.A. from North Carolina State University.

David N. Cinotti joined Pashman Stein in 2017, and focuses his practice on commercial litigation, international and domestic arbitration, and appellate litigation. He has represented clients in the financial-services, hospitality, e-commerce, real-estate, and healthcare industries, among others. Cinotti has substantial experience litigating and arbitrating disputes involving breach of contract, business torts, Section 1983, privacy and data protection, bankruptcy, complex financial transactions, and cross-border and multi-jurisdictional issues. He also has experience in white-collar criminal cases.

Cinotti was previously a counsel at Venable LLP, clerked for the Honorable Joseph M. McLaughlin of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Honorable Richard Conway Casey of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and was an associate at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center, and his B.A., summa cum laude, from College of the Holy Cross.
