Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C. Strengthens Litigation Team with the Addition of Three Attorneys: Megan L. Wiggins, Mitchell X. Chan, and Estefania (Nia) Pugliese-Saville
Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C. is pleased to announce the addition of counsel Megan L. Wiggins and associates Mitchell X. Chan and Estefania (Nia) Pugliese-Saville to the firm's Litigation and Appellate Advocacy practices. Wiggins, Chan, and Pugliese-Saville bring substantial experience from federal and state judicial clerkships, government service, and private practice, strengthening the firm's ability to serve clients across a broad range of litigation matters. They will be based in the firm’s Hackensack office.

Megan L. Wiggins
Megan L. Wiggins is counsel at the firm, where she handles complex litigation and appellate matters. Wiggins' distinctive combination of experience in private practice and working for federal and state judges allows her to efficiently manage complex cases and develop strategies for resolution that account for the bigger picture.
Before joining the firm, Wiggins served as the career law clerk to the Hon. Katharine S. Hayden, of the District of New Jersey, for eight years. She also previously worked in private practice at large and mid-size firms handling complex commercial litigation and intellectual property matters. Wiggins appreciates that each matter requires its own unique, tailored approach, from initiation to the appellate stages.
Earlier in her career, Wiggins clerked for the Hon. Maryanne Trump Barry of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Hon. Edwin H. Stern (ret.), Presiding Judge of Administration for the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division, who was at the time temporarily assigned to the Supreme Court of New Jersey. These experiences inform her approach to both trial- and appellate-level litigation.
Wiggins is a trustee of the Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey, where she has served on committees that develop practical, useful CLE programming, award scholarships, and facilitate the re-entry needs of former federal prisoners.
Wiggins earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law, where she served as an editor of the Seton Hall Law Review. She earned her B.A. with high honors from Rutgers University, with dual majors in biological sciences and criminal justice.
Mitchell X. Chan
Mitchell X. Chan is an associate in the firm’s Litigation and Appellate Advocacy practices. He focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and appellate matters, drawing upon his experience as a term law clerk in federal and state court.
Prior to joining Pashman Stein, Chan clerked for the Honorable Jessica S. Allen, United States Magistrate Judge for the District of New Jersey and, previously, for the Honorable Thomas W. Sumners, Jr., Chief Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. Between clerkships, Chan worked for a private New Jersey firm, where he developed experience in all phases of civil litigation.
Chan earned his J.D. from Rutgers Law School, where he served as Senior Articles Editor of the Rutgers University Law Review and Co-Chair of the Moot Court Board and received the 2023 Rutgers Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award for Best Student Note, Comment, or Scholarly Paper. While in law school, he interned at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), where he worked on securities regulatory enforcement matters. Chan received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
Estefania (Nia) Pugliese-Saville
Estefania (Nia) Pugliese-Saville is an associate in the firm’s Litigation and Appellate Advocacy practices, where she focuses on complex commercial litigation and appellate matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Pugliese-Saville served as a Deputy Attorney General in the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General's Division of Law, most recently in the Affirmative Labor Enforcement Section and previously in the Civil Rights Section.
Following law school, she served as a law clerk to Judge Mary Gibbons Whipple, J.A.D., of the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division, where she developed a strong foundation in appellate practice.
Prior to attending law school, she worked in compliance roles within the financial services sector, where she developed experience in regulatory oversight, internal investigations, policy implementation, and risk management.
Pugliese-Saville earned her J.D., cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law and her B.A., cum laude, in Economics and International Relations from Mount Holyoke College.
She is fluent in Spanish and serves as a Big Sister through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Essex County.
