Michael Stein, the chairman and managing partner of Hackensack’s Pashman Stein Walder Hayden, has been named to Democratic New Jersey Gov.-elect Phil Murphy’s transition team.

Stein said on Wednesday that he has been named to the team’s Law and Justice Committee.

“Obviously, it’s an honor” to be named to the transition team, Stein said. “I’m excited to help with the transition.”

Stein’s father, retired state Supreme Court Justice Gary Stein, now special counsel to the firm, was, along with retired former Chief Justice James Zazzali, named as ethic counsel to the transition team earlier this month.
