Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C. is proud to announce that firm Chair and Managing Partner Michael S. Stein was named a 2025 ICON Award Honoree by NJBIZ. The ICON Award highlights trailblazers and innovators across New Jersey.

According to NJBIZ, the ICON Awards highlights “leaders – all age 60 and over – representing industries across New Jersey, from accounting, architecture, real estate, law, government, hospitality and more. The individuals listed are honored for their work throughout their careers — not just in their respective fields, but in the state’s larger business community as well. These ICONs have not only made a name for themselves over the years, but also served as mentors for the next generation of leaders.”

“This is a well-deserved honor,” said Joseph A. Hayden, Jr., Co-Chair of the Criminal Defense and Investigations practices at Pashman Stein Walder Hayden. “I have known Mike for over 20 years, and he is the full package—an outstanding commercial litigator and a trusted, insightful advisor to the business community. He’s a proven winner with a reputation for excellence."

Stein, a Chambers-ranked commercial litigator, specializes in general commercial litigation, chancery litigation, legal ethics, and appellate advocacy. Founded 30 years ago as a litigation boutique, Pashman Stein is a full-service law firm of over 85 lawyers with 5 offices across New Jersey, New York, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. The firm and its lawyers are recipients of numerous awards including the New Jersey Law Journal’s 2023 Law Firm of the Year award, as well as the New Jersey Law Journal’s Appellate Department of the Year award for 6 of the past 7 years.  In addition, the firm received the New Jersey State Bar Association’s 2020 Pro Bono Law Firm award in recognition of the firm’s pro bono work through the Justice Gary S. Stein Public Interest Center at Pashman Stein Walder Hayden.

“Receiving the 2025 ICON award is especially meaningful this year as we mark the 30th anniversary of the founding of Pashman Stein,” said Stein. “From the beginning, our goal was to create a unique and thriving culture, built on the exceptional talent the region has to offer. The firm’s contributions to the legal profession and its impact on New Jersey’s business community are a testament to the commitment, integrity, and excellence of our attorneys—an extraordinary team with whom I am privileged to work every day.”

Stein, together with the other nominees, will be celebrated at NJBIZ’s upcoming awards ceremony on May 20, 2025.
