Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C. is proud to announce that Joseph C. Barsalona II, partner in the firm’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors’ Rights practice group, has been ranked by Chambers and Partners in its 2025 USA Guide in Delaware.
Barsalona joined Pashman Stein in June 2022, having previously practiced at highly respected Chambers-ranked bankruptcy firms in Delaware. As Pashman Stein’s first partner based in Delaware, Barsalona quickly expanded his practice, with a reputation as a tenacious and highly skilled attorney.
“Joe has played an integral part in establishing the firm’s reputation in Delaware, and we are thrilled that he has been recognized individually with this well-deserved honor,” said John W. Weiss, chair of the firm’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors’ Rights practice group. “He hit the ground running immediately upon joining our firm and continues to expand his practice while guiding clients in sophisticated and challenging bankruptcy-related matters with creative solutions and zealous advocacy.”
Barsalona focuses his practice on in-court and out-of-court restructurings, distressed asset sales, and bankruptcy litigation, representing a broad array of stakeholders in bankruptcy and restructuring matters. He also has experience with various state court insolvency proceedings in the Delaware Court of Chancery, the Chancery Division of the New Jersey Superior Court, and the Supreme Court of the State of New York, including assignments for the benefit of creditors, receiverships and dissolutions.
Barsalona has also built a robust company-side practice representing middle and lower-market debtors in chapter 11 proceedings, including in proceedings under Subchapter V of the Bankruptcy Code, as well as other estate fiduciaries such as chapter 11 trustees, examiners, and independent directors. He has also developed significant experience representing class action claimants in bankruptcy proceedings and secured creditors in prosecuting their rights and exercising remedies both in and out of court.
Active in the American Bankruptcy Institute, Barsalona currently serves on the Advisory Board of the ABI Mid-Atlantic Bankruptcy Workshop. He is also a member of the Turnaround Management Association and the Bankruptcy American Inns of Court.
