Deanna L. Koestel Appointed Global Chair of Interlaw’s Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Affinity Group

Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C. is pleased to announce that Deanna L. Koestel has been appointed as the global chair of Interlaw’s diversity, inclusion, and community group. In addition, Deanna continues to serve as North America chair of Interlaw’s Women of Interlaw Network and is a member of the Interlaw Cares committee. Pashman Stein serves as the New Jersey, United States partner firm of Interlaw, a Chambers-ranked international law firm network, comprised of over 8000 lawyers in over 140 locations throughout the world.

As global chair, Koestel leads Interlaw’s diversity, inclusion, and social responsibility initiatives, overseeing the network’s commitment to supporting cultural diversity and the advancement of all lawyers in the network irrespective of race, gender, disability, or religion. Interlaw member firms' social responsibility initiatives include pro bono legal service programs, betterment of the environment initiatives, assisting vulnerable populations, advancing legal education programs that provide cross-cultural opportunities and championing investment in emerging markets. By sharing best practices and engaging thoughtful speakers, Interlaw’s diversity, inclusion, and community group fosters strong personal and professional relationships around the world to positively impact the network’s member firms and clients, as well as the communities they serve.

Koestel is a highly accomplished attorney specializing in commercial litigation, construction law, and general business law matters. She skillfully handles complex business disputes, and frequently serves as outside general counsel, providing strategic guidance to clients in developing business plans, managing risk, and efficiently resolving litigation matters.

Beyond her legal accomplishments, Koestel is an engaged member of several professional organizations, including Girls on the Run NYC, Together Hospitality NYC, and the New Paltz Rotary Club.
