Dawn Attwood and Jason Attwood Join Pashman Stein, P.C.

Pashman Stein is pleased to announced that Dawn Attwood and Jason Attwood have joined the firm as members in the appellate advocacy, insurance and indemnification, and litigation practices.

Dawn Attwood concentrates her practice on complex civil litigation on behalf of both public and private sector clients, with special emphasis on public entity and insurance defense. She has extensive experience at the trial and appellate levels, having represented private insurance companies, joint insurance funds, the State of New Jersey, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, New Jersey Transit, a number of county prosecutor’s offices and municipalities in premises liability, automotive liability, dram shop, coverage, civil rights and employment actions.

Prior to joining Pashman Stein, Dawn was a partner at DeCotiis, Fitzpatrick & Cole, LLP.  Before that, she spent five years with the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, where she defended the State in tort, contractual and employment litigation matters and tried several civil jury matters involving the New Jersey Tort Claims Act, the New Jersey Law against Discrimination, the Federal Employer’s Liability Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.  She also served as the public defender for the Borough of Emerson for four years.

Dawn is a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Rated Lawyer. She earned a B.A., magna cum laude, from Fordham University, and a J.D., cum laude, from Widener University School of Law. She is amember of theNew Jersey State Bar Association and the Association of the Federal Bar of the State of New Jersey, and is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Jason Attwood’s practice focuses on civil litigation, representing both private and public entity clients. He brings a broad range of insurance defense experience, including dram shop, premises liability, automotive liability and coverage matters. His experience representing public entity clients includes the defense of employment and civil rights actions, as well as public bidding disputes, at both the trial and appellate level.

Prior to joining Pashman Stein, Jason was a partner at DeCotiis, Fitzpatrick & Cole, LLP. He earned a B.S., cum laude, from the State University of New York’s College of Environmental Science and Forestry and a J.D., cum laude, from Seton Hall Law School, where he was an editor of the Seton Hall Constitutional Law Journal. A member of both the American Bar Association and New Jersey State Bar Association, he is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
