CJ Griffin, Director of the Justice Gary S. Stein Public Interest Center at Pashman Stein Walder Hayden, was quoted in Trentonian article, “Pressure is on for more police transparency. But NJ delayed database showing seized property.” The article discusses New Jersey’s decision to delay a statewide database of civil asset forfeiture cases.

“Access to this database would help people understand police funding and how asset forfeiture disproportionately affects people of color, but this administration has once again de-prioritized transparency," said CJ Griffin, a leading public records attorney in New Jersey. "We need the governor to do more than just say great words about these issues — we need real action and this is a disappointing move.”
