CJ Griffin, Director of the Justice Gary S. Stein Public Interest Center at Pashman Stein Walder Hayden, was quoted in The Trentonian article, “Trenton council prez Kathy McBride demands AG investigation into alleged press 'leaks' on Wire Works deal.” The article discusses the Trenton City Council’s potential violation of the Open Public Meetings Act by holding a closed-door meeting with a developer.

Executive sessions are "not intended to permit a governing body to engage in closed-door negotiations or secret deal-making with third parties. Numerous courts have found agencies in violation of OPMA in similar circumstances," said C.J. Griffin, a prominent public records attorney who has represented this newspaper on public-access lawsuits against the city.
