CJ Griffin Featured in New Jersey Law Journal’s “On the Move” Column for Appointment as General Counsel to the New Jersey Press Association (NJPA)
CJ Griffin, partner and director of the Justice Gary S. Stein Public Interest Center at Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C., was recently highlighted in the New Jersey Law Journal’s “On the Move” column following her appointment as General Counsel to the New Jersey Press Association (NJPA).
Griffin assumes the role at a pivotal moment for the press, as recent amendments to the Open Public Records Act (OPRA) have reduced public transparency and changes to public notice requirements threaten essential revenue sources for newspapers. She succeeds longtime NJPA General Counsel Thomas J. Cafferty of Gibbons, who is retiring after nearly 50 years of service. In her new position, Griffin will be supported by Pashman Stein colleagues Bruce S. Rosen, a veteran media lawyer and former reporter, and Jennifer A. Borg, former general counsel for North Jersey Media Group and a former NJPA president.
