Bruce Rosen, Partner at Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C., was recently quoted in a New Jersey Law Journal article titled “’The Most Liberal Judge’ Has Died”. The article covers the recent passing of Federal Judge H. Lee Sarokin, known best for his decision to exonerate Rubin “Hurricane” Carter in 1985, as well as his strong, liberal views.

Sarokin “wore his judicial philosophy on his sleeve. There were those who didn’t like him, there were those who really thought he was wrong with the Carter decision. There’s a whole website devoted to that. But I think he was right—not because I had something to do with it, but I think Carter was not guilty,” said Bruce Rosen, who was hired as a law clerk for Sarokin to help with the Carter case.
