Bruce S. Rosen, partner at Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C. and vice-chair of the New Jersey Supreme Court’s Committee on Attorney Advertising, and Roger Plawker, partner at Pashman Stein who chairs the firm’s Attorney Ethics and Professional Misconduct Practice Group, will be presenting an upcoming New Jersey Association for Justice Business Torts seminar in Atlantic City titled, “Cybertorts: Anti-SLAPP Cases, Uniform Public Expression Act and Dealing with Bad Online Reviews,” as part of the NJAJ’s Boardwalk Seminar 2025.

The presentation will take attorneys through an analysis of the current anti-SLAPP law, what it means for their practice and their clients, and ways to ethically – and practically deal with negative online reviews without running afoul of the anti-SLAPP statute or ethical prohibitions.

Attorneys will learn details of the anti-SLAPP law and steps they can take to ethically preserve their firm’s reputation and recognize the potential risks in suing clients or others, including becoming a defendant in an anti-SLAPP counterclaim.

Rosen and Plawker’s presentation will take place on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 3:15 P.M. – 4:05 P.M. EST.
