On April 20 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM, Michael S. Stein will be presenting a CLE for the New Jersey State Bar Association, “The Delaney Decision: It is Time to Review and the Revise Arbitration Clauses in Your Retainer Agreements.” The CLE addresses the new ethical minefield arising from the Delaney v. Dickey case, which held that an in order for an arbitration provision in a retainer agreement to be enforceable, an attorney must generally explain to a client [either in writing or orally] the benefits and disadvantages of arbitrating a prospective dispute between the attorney and client. The CLE also includes suggestions for attorneys in explaining arbitration provisions to clients.

John J. Zefutie, Jr., co-founder and partner of Coella Zeftuie LLC, will be co-presenting the CLE.
