Litigation Legal Assistant, Monmouth County

Pashman Stein Walder Hayden is seeking a full-time litigation assistant for its Holmdel office.
Primary Tasks Include:
- Assist in day-to-day responsibilities in support of attorneys, including managing calendar, drafting and preparing pleadings, and filing pleadings with various trial-level and appellate courts using eCourts filing system.
- Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and other professional contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
- Managing busy attorney calendars including confirming and coordinating court appearances, meetings, etc.
- Copying, scanning, and filing.
- Reminding attorneys of deadlines for filings, appearances, meetings, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Education:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a legal assistant.
- Must have knowledge of state and federal court rules and filing procedures, as well as significant experience creating Table of Authorities and Table of Contents.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to multitask.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong computer and technical skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- A high standard of ethics, including maintaining confidentiality, is also vital.
