Alana Hans-Cohen, associate at Pashman Stein Walder Hayden, is participating in the Small Business Cannabis Presentation Series this fall. Through a partnership with the City Bar Justice Center, the Neighborhood Entrepreneur Law Project, the New York City Bar Association’s Committee on Drugs and the Law, and the Brooklyn Public Library Business & Career Center, the 6-week series is intended to provide equitable access to information about starting a cannabis-related business in New York City.  The seminars will include information for New York entrepreneurs, those interested in employment opportunities in the state, and those who may be looking to make a career transition into cannabis. 

Hans-Cohen is kicking off the series, presenting the first two seminars:

  • Tuesday October 11, “Intro to Cannabis Business & Employment: Access to Cannabis Entrepreneurship and Creating a Qualified Cannabis Workforce”
  • Tuesday, October 18, “Cannabis Ancillary Businesses: Key Ancillary Services Used in a Successful Cannabis Business”

Additional seminars will address business entity formation, cannabis banking and tax, cannabis business funding, and cannabis real estate and zoning. Presentations will be held in-person at the Brooklyn Public Library's - Brooklyn Heights location at 280 Cadman Plaza West, Brooklyn, NY 11201 from 5:30 - 7:00 PM.
