Attorneys CJ Griffin, partner at Pashman Stein Walder Hayden, was quoted in the New Jersey Law Journal article, “New Jersey Lawyers Balk at State’s New 2-Step Verification for E-Filings.“

The article discusses the new two-step security process launched by the state judiciary for filing cases electronically, which requires lawyers to log into the system, and then retrieve an authorization code that is sent to the lawyers email or mobile phone.

“It’s a real hassle for those of us who have legal assistants or associates upload and download from eCourts. My assistant and I have to coordinate me getting the email, and then forwarding it to her before the passcode expires,” CJ Griffin of Pashman Stein Walder Hayden said.

Griffin said the two-factor system “doesn’t reflect the reality of how people work,” and would be more successful if the authorization codes were sent to a wider group of people.
