CJ Griffin, Director of the Justice Gary S. Stein Public Interest Center at Pashman Stein Walder Hayden, was quoted in an article in The Trentonian, “3 NJ police unions join fight against AG Grewal’s police-discipline edicts, appellate court to hear case.” The article discusses the lawsuit filed by the State Troopers Fraternal Association against NJ Attorney General Grewal seeking an injunction to prevent the release of police officers’ disciplinary information as required by a recent order of the NJ Attorney General, which case has been transferred to a state appeals court.

"It makes sense to have these matters all consolidated before a single forum so that we aren't left with different opinions and multiple appeals," said C.J. Griffin, a public-records attorney who has represented numerous media outlets, including The Trentonian, for access to police records.

Griffin expects the case to go before the state Supreme Court regardless of what the appellate court decides.
